About us
AppRanger is a guide to AI apps for learning a new language and for creating photos and videos, helping everyday users choose and use the right app through store-sourced app facts and step-by-step guides.
What AppRanger covers
AppRanger focuses on two needs: learning a new language with AI, and creating photos and videos with AI. It currently lists 9 language-learning apps and 16 photo and video apps, including widely used apps such as Duolingo and Picsart.
What is on an app page
Each app has one page. The top of the page shows facts read from the app's public Google Play listing: developer, category, rating, number of downloads, price, content rating and last update, together with the date we last checked them. Icons and screenshots also come from the app's Google Play listing.
Below the facts, a structured summary explains what the app does, who it is for, when it fits and when it is not the right choice, followed by common questions.
How apps are presented
- Every app page uses the same layout and the same set of facts.
- Ratings are Google Play ratings. AppRanger does not give its own scores.
- App lists are ordered by Google Play downloads, then rating.
- Top lists and comparisons state their selection criteria before the list.
Guides and answers
Alongside app pages, AppRanger publishes step-by-step guides and short answers to common questions about choosing and using these apps. Each guide and answer shows the date it was last updated.
